Don Gettinger, Governor, Corvettes of Minnesota

I've enjoyed being an active member of COM since 1973. The club puts on quality autocross and road rally events, and fun social events with a great bunch of people.

My background includes:

• Started driving a farm tractor in the fields of Wisconsin at age 3 (according to my parents)
• Won my first competition auto driving event when I was 18
• Corvette owner since 1970
• Past Corvettes were a '64 Convertible for 40 years, a '63 Vintage Racer, and a '71 Coupe
• Currently a 2001 Z-06

Road rallies since 1971, autocross and high speed time trials since 1973. Over 1000 autocross wins in 1400+ events, Midwest Region NCCC Men's Points Champion (1999), Overall FTD at Black Hills Corvette Classic, many Met Council and MOWOG Series Championships. Member of NCCC since at least 1988, COM's NCCC Governor since 1994, former COM Competition Chairman, MAC President and Competition Chairman, and Met Council Secretary/Treasurer and Autocross Rules Chairman.

Last year did 15 days of speed events (autocross, hillclimb, speed run), 3 road rallies, 10 classic/exotic car shows for total of 28 dates, plus MAC autocross instructor, and a spectator at BIR.
